About Drew
Hi, I’m Drew.
Since about age 8, when my dad would take me… fly fishing has been my passion. It started as the glue that bonded me with my Dad and grew into a life-long desire to share with others. My dad loved to fly fish. It was his passion and it rubbed off on all of us in the family. He used to get me out of grade school and high school every once in a while and take me to the local streams.
I started tying flies at age 8 and attended an advanced fly tying class at a local high school room 222, at age 12. I am a 5-time regional Fly Casting Champion, have won multiple fishing tournaments, and have taught 100+ students. Along the way, I was teaching non-credit classes at The University of Tennessee.
What I love most, is seeing others discover the excitement of fly fishing. It is a great way for family members to bond. I get a lot of satisfaction teaching Father / Son, Husband /Wife and so on. Fly fishing is an ideal way to build lifelong relationships, experience the beauty and wonder of nature, and grow as an individual. It’s also a chance to catch beautiful fish on light tackle.
Whether you are interested in a class or private casting lessons or just want to talk fly fishing, I’d love to hear from you. Contact me at drewstill@gmail.com.
