I teach people how to fly fish. Whether it’s your first time or you have some experience, I can help fine tune your skills. If you simply need one-on-one private casting lessons we can schedule that too. My passion for fly fishing includes helping people learn this sport.
What we cover:
Casting
We begin at your starting skill level and build from there. If you haven’t even picked up a rod or if you have some skill but want to improve… we can begin at your pace. We cover overhead, sidearm, roll, reach and distance casting.
Knowledge
We cover MUCH more than just the fundamentals of fly fishing. Including gear, flies, knots, the fly shop, fly presentation and more. You will be able to “hit the stream and catch fish” at the conclusion of my class.
Temperament
While physical skills are important, the mental aspects of fly fishing are equally important. We will discuss “problems” like snags, lost flies, broken rods and even falling-in yet still enjoy yourselves on the water.
